Movement in monolith. Using flat blacks to let the utility portions of the building recede, the mosaic of greyscale panels glint in the sun, as if window reflections along the moving tracks of an el train. I love the motion of this facade treatment.
Iconic. the effective use of greyscale aluminum panels cladding the side of the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Chicago let it stand proud in a crowded cityscape.
Mind The Blue Line || A thick, rubberized blue treading denotes the platform edges of this Chicago CTA station. While a pleasant surprise, I never associated blue as a warning color.
